HTC One M10: Spy Shots Surface, Details Regarding the Price and Release Date Revealed!

HTC launched the original One back in 2013, followed by the One M8 in 2015. The company is working on the latest One M10, codenamed Perfume, and is expected to unveil the device within the first quarter of 2016.

The One M10 comes as a surprise for most of us, since it has hardly been a year since the launch of the One M9, but if you look closely into the market segment, you’ll realize that the One M9 did not manage to garner as much sale as its predecessors.

This was primarily due to the fact that HTC had nothing new to offer in the One M9. The device packed in most of the features present in the One M8, and repackaged it into the M9. As a result, the only major difference between the two models was the pricing.

Customers nowadays are very careful while choosing what they buy, as a result, HTC’s bluff was caught very early into the marketing campaign. As a result, the sales dropped immediately. A situation arose where the company needed to come up with something innovative to woo the crowds and they needed it soon. Hence, the HTC One M10!

Even though we do not have any confirmed reports on the One M10, spy shots of the device have recently been leaked on the internet. For the first time, we believe that the HTC logo is missing from the front end of the device.

The home button doubles up as the fingerprint scanner and the audio channel grille looks familiar, which make us believe that the device is BoomSound enabled. The One M10 closely resembles the One A9 and we will have to wait for a few more months to get a closer look at the finished product.

Since, judging by the looks on the spy shots, the HTC One M10 is very near to the production stage. Some of the basic features that the flagship smartphone is expected to feature, includes Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, HTC Sense 8 UI, 5.1-inch AMOLED display with 2,560×1,440pixel resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 350 GPU, 4GB of RAM alongside 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable thanks to a MicroSD card slot, Fingerprint scanner and a 12MP primary camera with laser-assisted autofocus and OIS.

According to the initial speculations, the HTC One M10 does not feature front-facing BoomSound speakers. The smartphone features a big top with bottom bezels, making it larger than most smartphones in its range.

The aluminum unibody design is carried on to the M10, and even though details regarding the design is unavailable, we believe that HTC is unlikely to change anything in particular from the last model.

Even though the leaked images suggest that the One M10 will be available as a 32GB variant, experts are of the opinion that the device will also be available as a 64 GB and 128 GB variant. An older report suggested that the smartphone features a 23 MP primary camera, instead of a 27MP lens as suggested before.

However, neither of these reports can be deemed as official for the moment. We will have to wait in order to ascertain whether HTC wants to go back to their UltraPixel camera technology on the One M10 or not.

HTC is further expected to turn the One M10 waterproof, with the IP78-certified panels while the display has been improved upon as well. Considering the QHD displays offered by the competing products, such as Samsung and Sony, etc. HTC is expected to come up with a fitting reply.
