GoPro Hero 5: Rumors Regarding the Release Date, Prices Surface, And More

In respect to photography, the GoPro Hero 5 will release with a dual-lens setup. A source claims that the device might have 3D Technology support enabled. Both the Black and Silver editions of the GoPro Hero 4 can take photos with a 12MP sensor at 30 frames per second.

Meanwhile, in order to make it more rugged and suited for harsh environments, the GoPro Hero 5 will be able to withstand a depth of about 60 meters. If this turns out to be true, the device will be a worthy upgrade over its predecessor, which had a 40 meter underwater-depth support. When you wish to record with action-cameras, a long-lasting battery is a major requirement.

The GoPro Hero 5 has a 2800mAh battery which is an upgrade over the Hero 4’s battery life by over 1.5 times. According to KpopStarz, the battery is less than an inch in thickness. Earlier, in the Hero 4, both models included an 1160mAh rated rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. According to latest rumors, other features to be seen in the upcoming device include Wi-Fi, HDMI port and Bluetooth 4.0. The Fuse Joplin reports that the device will be priced around $400-$5000.
