According to the rumor mill, the upcoming device will have twice the battery life and it will be priced in $450-$550. Compared to earlier models, it will be lighter as well as smaller.

Other rumors suggest that it will feature the awesome cube design as seen in the Hero 4 Session. Furthermore, it will be able to record 8K videos and feature a 2800mAh battery. Compared to that, the Session has a 1000mAh battery and can record at full HD maximum resolution.

Meanwhile, Ambarella is a SoC chip which has been used for models in the past, like the A9 processor used in Hero 4 Black. The chip helped the Hero 4 to deliver high-bit-rate 4K-resolution video at 30 frames per second and full HD clips at up to 120fps.

It also came with high-performance capabilities. The A9SE was the follow-up to that processor and it was announced in 2015 October. It records 4K at 30fps and uses less power in the process, while being capable of recording a second stream at 720p, 30fps.
