There is also a new narrative in Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, named 0.2: A Fragmentary Passage. It tells us about the story of Aqua, a character who was first seen in Kingdom Heart: Birth by Sleep. She will be traveling the Realm of Darkness.
Till now, Kingdom Hearts 3 games have featured worlds from Disney along with some few characters from Final Fantasy. From the looks of it, Kingdom Hearts 3 will stay that way.
Tai Yasue, the co-director for Kingdom Hearts 3, said in E3 2016 that the game will mainly focus on Disney Worlds. He further explained that they are not adding any type of Final Fantasy worlds in KH3. He further pointed out that some KH worlds like Traverse Town and Hollow Bastion had Final Fantasy characters in them.
Yasue further mentioned that the best thing about Kingdom Hearts 3 is that it is comprised of Disney Worlds. People are familiar with these worlds. They are quite popular and recognizable and at the same time, unique and distinct as well. According to GameSpot, Yasue said that they are looking for difference and diversity and not just a bunch of similar features.
Meanwhile, in this week’s Famitsu Weekly Chart for the most anticipated games, Kingdom Hearts 3 can be seen rounding off the top ten.
