2017 marks another exciting year for gamers, especially to those hooked into PS4. This was after Sony announced that it will soon release the second installment into the Ni No Kuni series. It will be officially called Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom. Also, an English trailer was also shown in the latest PlayStation Experience.
The original game was released in 2010 under the PS3 console. Its story line revolved around the adventures of a boy named Oliver. He traveled to an alternate magical universe to find his soul mate.
Like its predecessor, it will also follow the adventure of a young boy – this time named Evan. He will traverse a kingdom enveloped in darkness to prove that he got what it takes to rule the kingdom. A visitor from another world will join him in the quest. He is introduced in the game as Roland. A handful of other characters who will make the young king’s journey more colorful are also set to appear in the game. PS4 gamers were already given some glimpses of who they are and what they look like through the English trailer.
The game was developed by Level-5, the same developer behind the original Ni no Kuni. However, in the second installment, the absence of Studio Ghibli is noticed. It is the famed studio behind highly-acclaimed animations like Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Spirited Away.
Several months before the game’s official release, it is already gathering favorable reviews from gamers and enthusiasts.
