According to Ulrich Schulze, Managing Director Pro Gaming at ESL, the event was a great combo of a gaming festival and an eSports tournament.
They wanted to make ESL One Frankfurt 2015 more than just a mere eSports competition. They wish to keep this going for future ESL events as well. Even the Cosplay competition was successful as US $5000 in prizes was awarded to a contestant pool with 43 cosplayers from 10 different countries.
The success was tremendous as the viewership literally doubled its record over the previous year. The event was made possible thanks to eminent sponsors like GIGABYTE™, theScore eSports, G2A, Twitch, paysafecard, NVIDIA, NEEDforSEAT®, Corsair Gaming, Planet Radio, and joinDOTA.
