He further amassed all powers of many other mutants, thereby turning invincible and immortal. He wakes up after thousands of years and he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it. Apocalypse recruits a team of immensely powerful mutants. This includes a disheartened Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender.
Apocalypse wishes to create a new world order and as a result, mankind needs to be cleansed. The world is on the verge of utter destruction due to which Raven and Charles Xavier will lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest enemy and further safeguard mankind from complete destruction.
The movie will release on May 18th in the UK and May 27th in the States. X Men: Apocalypse includes characters like James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert), Lucas Till (Havok) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine).
Joining the cast are new additions like Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Ben Hardy as Angel and Lana Condor as Jubilee.
Although X-Men Apocalypse marks the end of the prequel trilogy, the studio has already started working on the next two movies for the franchise. It can be safely assumed that the upcoming movies will focus on teenage mutants studying in Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
