In yet another trailer, Daredevil was seen tied up by chains on a rooftop by none other than the Punisher. The Walking Dead famed Jon Bernthal will portray the role of the Punisher in Daredevil Season 2.
As for Elektra, Elodie Yung confessed that she was completely new to both the character and the universe of Marvel Comics. She stated that she no idea about the character prior to this. Not only that she even claimed that she was unaware of Daredevil also.
She added that she had to read a number of Elektra comics to acquire some sort of idea regarding the character. After finishing off with the Elektra comics, she read Daredevil #168, in which the character of Elektra comes face to face for the first time with Daredevil. This gave her an idea about the connection between the two characters.
The actress had to undergo some training in mixed martial arts that included Muay Thai, Capoeira and KravMaga to prepare for the character.
Two other actors that have been confirmed for the second season of daredevil include- Deborah Ann Woll who plays Karen and Rosario Dawson who plays the character of Claire Temple.
The second season of Daredevil will comprise of 13 episodes and all of them will be released together on Friday, 18th March 2016 at 12:01 AM.
