Apart from Sinise, the cast includes Tyler James Williams as Russ Montgomery, Daniel Henney as Matt Simmons. The spin-off will be directed by Glen Karshaw and produced Erica Messer, Nick Pepper and Mark Gordon. It is written by Erica Messers. There are no official release dates yet.
Criminal Minds Season 11 has already created a lot of speculation with reports of Jennifer Love Hewitt leaving the show and A.J Cook returning in the second half of the season. The show will have to write their story around the maternity leave of the two actors. It has been confirmed by Messers that the season will see the return of some familiar faces.
While Messers never clarified who these actors will be, Joe Mantegna dropped a hint that the actor likely to make a comeback is Paget Brewster, who will reprise her role of Detective Emily Prentiss.
