Avatar 2: Cameron Forced To Stick To Three Sequel, Release Date Pushed, Premiere In Nz, And More

The sequels for Avatar have been shot extensively in New York and in order to give something back to the country that have been so accommodating, Cameron has decided to hold the official premiere of the films in Wellington, New Zealand.

The three sequels have been shot one after the other and this is the reason behind the year of release being so close. While Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 will be set after the episodes of Avatar, it is rumored that Avatar 4 will be a prequel. It will deal with things that had happened prior to the first film.

Horner has said the production had to be pushed because James wanted to sort out the scripts for the three sequels before the shoot started. He reworked on the whole script in totality to make away with the fourth sequel as he had initially planned.

Cameron has told IGN that he doesn’t need to rush to stick to a deadline. He has an idea that he worked on for years and with every passing day he sees it coming to life.

  1. This guy has maybe 10 good years left in him, and he’s going to use that time just concentrating on sequels to ‘Avatar’? Why not do one sequel then hand it off, then do ‘Battle Angel’?
