Meanwhile, we would have liked to see the USB-Type C connector in the Apple iPad Air 3 but the iPad Mini 4 is shipping with a Lightning Connector and there’s no particular reason to change it in the Air 3. Also, iPad Mini 4 did not get the Force Touch technology but it can be included in the upcoming iPad Air 3.
Following the release of the 12.9inches iPad Air Pro and the 7.9inches iPad Mini 4, a report from a Taiwan company stated that Apple will not be revealing the Air variant of the flagship tablet. However, another new report surfaced which clearly states that the next iPad is already under development.
Sadly, we won’t be seeing the iPad Air 3 anytime in 2015 but we can expect it to release some time in 2016. Meanwhile, the display size should be 9.7 inches just like its predecessor and a 4k screen resolution of 2334×3112 pixels. With a 401ppi pixel density, the aspect ratio of this screen should be 4:3.
Under the hood, this device will come with an A9 or A9X processor chipset and backed up by at least 2GB of RAM or possibly even 4GB. However, rumors indicate that the battery capacity will be reduced in the upcoming iPad Air.
There will be an 8-megapixel rear-facing sensor and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. So far, these are all rumors and nothing has been proved so far.
