This decision was later regretted by Stallone as he believed that the blood and gore in Expendables franchise was one of the main reasons behind its many accolades. However, this wasn’t seen as a problem by that of the viewers.

There were uninteresting characters and locations in the third installment and this failed to capture the interest of an audience. These days, viewers are more inclined to stunning visuals and exotic places and this was not delivered in The Expendables 4.
