Avengers: Infinity Wars is going to be the last film from the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and hence there is a lot of anticipation from the film. The film is going to mark the end of the first generation of superheroes and this is when new superheroes are going to come in.
There is already a lot of hype about Avengers: Infinity War. The fans are excited to see sixty-seven Marvel heroes coming together and the cinema-goers are just waiting to watch Marvel Studios unveil another exceptional cinematic project.
News Every Day has already confirmed that Chris Pratt, who plays the role of Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, is going to be a part of Avengers: Infinity War. Apart from Pratt, Josh Brolin is also going to be a part of Infinity Wars and will play the role of Thanos.
This has given rise to a lot of speculations and it can be believed that Chris Markus and Steve McFeely might cook up a crossover between Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. This speculation is, however, not baseless. It is believed that Markus and McFeely themselves were the ones to tease at a crossover. Markus said that fans already know who owns the gauntlet and teased the fans asking them to work out the math and figure things out.
According to Christian Post, Avengers: Infinity Wars is supposed to deal with the story of Thanos and the Infinity stones. The comic book fans will be well aware of the relationship that Thanos shares with Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy. With Thanos set to become the villain for Avengers: Infinity Wars, the presence of characters of Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be interesting.
It is believed that Avengers: Infinity Wars is going to deal with Thanos going down to earth and this will cause Drax the Destroyer to pursue him there to seek revenge for the death of his family. In such a situation, Gamora and Drax will need the help of someone who has a close connection with Earth and this particular person would turn out to be Star-Lord played by Chris Pratt.
However, since these conjectures are not yet validated, the fans cannot place much hope on them. James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy has informed Den of Geek that there is very little chance of Guardians of the Galaxy being a part of Avengers: Infinity Wars.
He said that he isn’t beholden to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and he doesn’t feel that Guardians of the Galaxy will have to be associated with Avengers: Infinity Wars to propagate its story.
The latest film from the MCU, Captain America: Civil War also had a whole lot of superheroes coming in together, but then they all worked to tell the story of the titular character. This, however, isn’t the case in Avengers: Infinity Wars. The heroes will all come together to play an equal role in the story with no one getting the limelight in particular.
There is a lot of expectations riding on Avengers: Infinity Wars and it clearly isn’t an easy deal for the writers. The same writers have worked on Captain America: Civil War, but they have to deal with the upcoming film in a completely different manner.
Markus and McFeely revealed that the trick in not letting one particular character take the center stage is to break the whole plot into smaller stories, dealing with different characters and making the small stories come together to build the larger plot.
Since Avengers: Infinity Wars will be divided into Part 1 and Part 2, the writers reveal that whichever character is left out in the first part, can shine in the second part.
