Upcoming Iran-P5+1 Talks should be led by Hassan Rouhani: Salahoddin Yaghoubi

Prior to taking charge as the President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani was one of the members of Supreme National Security Council. When he was in position, several rounds of discussion took place between Iran and politicians from other European countries in regard to the nuclear case that is being prosecuted against Iran.

As per few sources, the Islamic Republic of Iran and its nuclear program was strongly defended by Hassan Rouhani and due to this, the nuclear program was being carried out without any interruptions, in accordance with the international guidelines. Also, the United Nations and countries of the European Union were contended with the cooperation extended by Iran in the nuclear case, which was done by IAEA.

One of the politicians from Iran, Salahoddin Yaghoubi, was of the opinion that the talks in Iran-P5+1 should be led by the new President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani. This is because, he thinks that the views and ideologies of Hassan Rouhani are similar to that of Ayatollah Khamenei. Rouhani has already negotiated with the other participants of Iran-P5+1 and hence, he would be the best person to lead the talks.

The close relations between Hassan Rouhani and Ayatollah Khamenei would also serve to be beneficial for the new president. He is also close with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and hence, it would be most beneficial to have him as the leader for the talks.

Ayatollah Khamenei gad requested the Government of Iran to take up the nuclear case at a quicker pace, as the rigorous sanctions imposed by the United States on the economy of Iran is proving to be costly and the economy of Iran is deteriorating at a rapid pace due to the same. However, Tehran has clearly denied that it would stop the enrichment of nuclear materials and there is a ban by the Government of Iran due to which the International Atomic Energy Agency is not allowed to inspect nuclear sites present in Iran, such as Natanz and Fordow.

Salahoddin Yaghoubi thinks that the nuclear policy of Iran should be worked upon and the Government needs to be clearer about its activities so that it would be able to establish better ties with the Western countries and other countries present in the European Union.
