Thor 3: Ragnarok Rumored to Feature Female Thor, Loki’s Death on the Cards, Presumably the Last Movie before Infinity War, And More

When Thor returns in 2017 for the third installment in this superhero franchise, Loki might just end up meeting his end. Movie Pilot says that Thor: Ragnarok will show the end of days, quite similar to what is mentioned in Norse Mythology.

According to the raging spoilers, Asgard will be destroyed by a giant fire called Surtur. Sadly, Thor’s home-planet isn’t the only one to be in danger in the upcoming movie.

According to the original story written in Marvel Comics, Ragnarok will show how Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, literally rips off Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) head as he commits treachery.

However, is it possible for the film studio to enact such a brutal scene? We don’t know what’s going to happen, but it will result either in a very gory scene or a very hilarious one.

There are also reports that suggest Thor will have an epic fight with a giant snake and then die and at the same time, Loki will fight Heimdall, played by Idris Elba and end up dying together.

If this holds true, almost all the major characters of Marvel’s Thor franchise will perish. However, early reports have claimed that it will not be possible to kill Loki since the actor Tom Hiddleston is under a multi-movie contract, which means reprising his role as Thor’s adopted brother.

At the same time, there are rumors claiming that a female Thor will make an entry in Thor 3: Ragnarok. According to popular speculations, Thor will survive the epic battle that he has to face in the movie but he might choose to transfer his power to his love, Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman.

However, Paramount Pictures or Marvel hasn’t confirmed any such reports pertaining to the upcoming film. Right now, only Hemsworth and Hiddleston have confirmed their presence in the upcoming film.

They will reprise their roles as Thor and Loki, which is quite obvious. Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle will write this movie while Kevin Feige returns as the Executive Producer for this project.

In the Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thanos was seen holding the Infinity Gauntlet which provides unlimited power to the Holder, provided that all of the Infinity Gems are attached to it.

Reports indicate that in Thor 3: Ragnarok, Thanos might be responsible for the destruction of Asgard and the introduction of Surtur, as mentioned earlier. According to the Ragnarok Tale in Norse Mythology, Loki will be killed by Heimdall but there is also a possibility that Thanos will be the one ending Loki’s life instead of Heimdall.
