Final Fantasy 15 by Square Enix will be a hack and slash title but you better be in it for the long haul. It’s time to say goodbye to your girlfriend. According to game director, Hajime Tabata, this RPG will take around 40-5-hours to be finished and on top of that, he is still not sure about it.
Tabata spoke to Famitsu and said that the journey to tell an interesting and emotional story with Noctis and his friends will be quite a long one. He said, “We expect 40 to 50 hours to reach the end. But, to be honest, I have no idea…! The story has been split up into chapters, but a section presumed to take an hour can end up taking far longer. I would expect the average time to be a bit longer.”
Gamers are definitely quite interested with the fact that even Tabata wasn’t sure about how long his game was going to be. If the development team is going to push for a true open-world experience with the fast-paced action, this shouldn’t really disappoint at all.
The game will feature an epic story that has already been conveyed in the trailers. We’ll just have to wait till 30th September to see how this game pans out in the end.
In other news, Hajime Tabata said that Final Fantasy 15 for the PC will be a simple port of the console version. During an interview with French site JeuxVideo, Tabata san was asked about the possibility of a PC version and when it might release and whether he is genuinely interested on it at all. The English transcription was issued, thanks to Nova Cyrstallis.
The transcription reads, “I’m quite positive about the idea of developing a PC version, but I would like to make a very different project if possible. The reason I’m interested is that a PC version would propel the game to another technical level. I have in mind a version of Final Fantasy XV that is more technically developed.”
The version could further incorporate things that they were forced to abandon due to the limitations of various home consoles. When it comes to the PC, it would be a perfect opportunity a PC version which is far superior in terms of tech and quality.
He further said, “That said, if we choose to develop this project, the development will start from scratch by doing research of what would be the best technology to use. It might not be a simple port of the console version.”
During an interview last week, Tabata said that Square Enix was unable to work on a PC release at the same time. There were some rumors that the PC version if something that they have already been planning.
Moreover, it would be interesting to see what kind of concepts was dropped during the process of console development. The game will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 on 30th September.
Considering the expectations on this title, the game has to be perfect. After a complete decade in development hell, a name change is expected from Versus XIII to XV.
It received a director swap and a complete mechanical overhaul. Therefore, die-hard fans are not just hungry for the game, they are simply reeling!
There were many fans who were excited about Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Moreover, teenagers mainly remain interested in Final Fantasy XV as adults. The Final Fantasy series debuted back in 1987 and it played a major role in the lives of many.
