Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a first-person shooting video game that has been developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The game was released by Ubisoft for the platforms of PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One back on December 1, 2015.
Just in the recent past a brand new expansion pack was rolled out for the game by Ubisoft. This was the second DLC that the game received and it is titled- Operation Dust Line. The expansion pack comprises of several new in-game items along with a brand new map.
The new map has been titled- The Border and various reports state that it has been created by combining a number of already existent maps of the game. Players will not have to go to different map playlists to access this particular map as it has been made available to all players.
A new feature that the expansion pack incorporates into the game is the ability to trade load-outs. Players will now have the ability to trade their load-outs while playing the game. The developers aim to reduce the competitive disadvantage among players by introducing this feature.
Two brand new operators will also be introduced to the game via the expansion pack. These are actually highly trained Navy SEAL operators whose names are Blackbeard and Valkyrie. Blackbeard is in possession of a TARS Mk 0 or the Transparent Rifle Shield while Valkyrie packs a sticky camera called the “Black Eye” Gyro Cam Mk2.
The Transparent Rifle Shield that Blackbeard carries will work towards increasing the strength of the protective gears that are in his possession. In actuality, the strength of the protective gears will increase two-folds due to the Shield.
As for the camera that Valkyrie carries, it was reported that a player will be able to quickly deploy it anywhere in the arena. It will be quite handy as it will provide the player with a bird’s eye like view of the map which will allow him or her to come to know where the enemies are.
Some brand new weapon skins that include the Dust line signature skin, the Navy SEAL skin and the USA desert Camo are also included in the expansion pack.
Players who are in possession of the Season Pass for Tom Clancy’s rainbow Six Siege will be able to get their hands on all the contents of the expansion pack for free. However, for those who do not own the Season Pass for the game will have to purchase some of the new contents of the update.
The contents which are completely free and will be available to all without having to shell out money or in-game currency are the new map and the new feature of trading load-outs. However, the Operators and the customizations are not free of cost and players who do not own the Season Pass will have to purchase them.
The Blackeye camera that Valkyrie carries can be stuck onto any surface on the map. Players who are in the same team as the Valkyrie will also have the capability to make use of the camera. Thus it is advisable for players to place the cameras strategically so that their usage is maximized.
However, it should be noted that these cameras have a bright blue light on their front end. This makes it easier for the enemies to spot it and so players need to choose their locations carefully while deploying the camera.
As for the shield that Blackbeard wields, it is transparent in nature and thus it does not block the view of the player. It can absorb a fair amount of damage enabling the player to attack freely while behind it. However, it will break apart if the amount of damage is too high.
It should be mentioned here that Blackbeard is a part of the attacking team, while Valkyrie is a part of the defending team.
