New blockbusters you need to watch in 2017

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

According to Imax Entertainment CEO Greg Foster this spinoff is already breaking records in theaters since it recorded the second-highest first day of pre-sales in USA box office history. However, the movie won’t have a sequel, according to LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy. The movie is said to be a self-contained type even though it’s a prequel to “A New Hope.” Despite this fact, the movie is expected to open to more than $130 million in pre-release tracking.

As the first of the “Star Wars” films that is self-contained, “Rouge One: A Star Wars Story” will track the Rebel Alliance that recruits Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) to work with a crew alongside Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) to steal the plans of the infamous Death Star, the Empire’s weapon of destruction.

Release date for theaters is on December 16th.

Assassin’s Creed

One of the most anticipated movies is surely Assassin’s Creed. The movie is a companion piece of the video game, and not the adaptation. Callum Linch (Michael Fassbender) is a man who is abducted by a corporation that desires to exploit his “genetic memories” for their own nefarious purpose. The corporation hooks him up to a strange machine that is called the Animus. The Animus allows him to experience the past of his ancestor who was a skilled assassin during the time of Spanish Inquisition. Here is the released scene with the machine.

The movie is under a lot of pressure because of the video game fans who are patiently waiting for the arrival of their favorite game in movie form. The movie is aiming for PG-13 rating.

The release date for theaters is December 14th.
