Microsoft Xbox One Controllers Get New Update, Button Remapping Rumored to Arrive Soon!

The company has worked really hard to bring new features along with a lot of interesting titles for the console, which is definitely a must-have. One of the many newly introduced features is NXE. Meanwhile, the system software update is presently available in an unfinished form to Xbox Review Program members and Xbox One users will be able to get it later this year.

Meanwhile, Microsoft published a new video for its $150 Xbox One elite wireless controller and it showcases the pad in detail that was never seen before. Navin Kumar, the Xbox Engineer appears in the video show the app and talk about how it lets users create custom button profiles and much more.

All of the available 14 input units can be assigned to the paddles, D-pad, thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, and triggers. Users gain the ability to create close to 255 unique controller configurations, out of which, any two can be used anytime. With the simple press of a button, you can toggle between both the profiles.

  1. Microsoft should give everyone a new controller since the left stick breaks on every one. It just sticks up, so if you play NBA 2k your guy just runs out of bounds in to the crowd. I bought a couple of refurbished 1s on Ebay for 35 bux and I think they super glue the sticks in place so it can`t get stuck.
