Lollipop Making Its Way to Sony Xperia Z3, Among Other Devices, Z3 No Longer Available On T-Mobile US, More Details

On happier note, Sony recently announced the release of the Android Lollipop v5.0 update, in the near future, for many of its devices. It seems more like a continuous rollout of late. Besides the Lollipop update for devices like the Xperia Z2 and the Z2 tablet, Sony announced that Z1, Xperia Z3 Dual, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra will also be updated by next week. However, the exact date wasn’t announced.

The timeframe might appear a bit vague but we are sure that the T2 Ultra and the C3 will be receiving the update after these devices. Furthermore, Sony also announced that their Z series of smartphone will receive the update soon but again, no exact release date was announced. The Z series includes devices like Sony Xperia Z, ZR, ZL and the Tablet Z.

Meanwhile, people are wondering what the Lollipop update will bring to their compatible Sony devices. Sony has released a new video showing the latest improvements with Lollipop 5.0. The major improvements include features like Priority Mode notifications, Smart Lock, actionable lock screen notifications, along with a great implementation of Google’s Material Design.

Stay tuned for more updates on Sony Xperia Z3!
