He further stated that he feels that the game is overwhelmingly big and that the problem is not that the contents have been shaved off, but that he has been worried about how to handle the story line.
If the game indeed does come out in segmented episodic releases, it will not be Square Enix’s first such endeavor. In fact, the company is preparing to release Episode 4 of Hitman this month.
According to PC Advisor, Tetsuya Nomura has been pointing towards another possibility of the game apart from being released in multiple parts; it might also become equipped with an online multiplayer feature. There is nothing solid to support this theory yet though.
Tetsuya’s reluctance to avoid any such confirmation is understandable as the release of the game is not expected before the latter months of 2017.
Apart from the stage type release and the inclusion of characters from other worlds, Kingdom Hearts 3 will provide fans with a Heroic and satisfactory conclusion about Sora’s Adventures. This third installment will be the last entry in the trilogy, putting Sora’s crew and his story to rest.
