On the inside, the M10 is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 82X with a 3X GHz Octa-Core processor, making the smartphone lightning fast. The only downside of this configuration at the moment is that, Qualcomm is still believed to be working on the 820 chipset, which means that its completion seems unlikely within a month.
Even if Qualcomm manages to build a working chipset according to its specifications, HTC will have a hard time mass producing the smartphone on the larger scale. Another rumor claims that Samsung has signed a deal of exclusivity with Qualcomm, which gives them the sole usage rights to the Snapdragon 820 till April.
If this is indeed true, every smartphone manufacturer that runs Android smartphones will suffer considering that Qualcomm is the primary supplier of chipsets to such devices, and the 820 is slated to be used in all the flagship models.
If this rumor is indeed true, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have an edge in terms of global sales till April, since every other rival brand will be waiting on their processors! Smart move, we must add! Some of the other devices that are feeling the heat includes the Xiaomi Mi5 and the LG G5, both of which are strong contenders in the market segment, apart from the HTC One M10.
