GRRM Admits He Is A Very Slow Writer, Rumors Indicate Iron Throne to Stay Vacant In Winds of Winter!

During an interview with Lossie Tereinos via The Week, Alejo Cuervo, the editor of Ediciones Gigamesh said that the release date of this book has been scheduled to be in the next year. Right now, it is expected that there won’t be much of a difference between the English and Spanish version of the book.

Furthermore, the manuscript will only be available to Spanish publishers, a long time before the book is released in the market. He seemed quite certain about the release date since he joked that only a meteor strike might delay it further.

Cuervo further assured fans that it has been planned to release next year. He said, “They have promised us that they will give us the manuscript before the release date in English, but it won’t be a big difference [between the dates].”

In the meantime, GRRM recently admitted that he never expected to show to actually catch up with him. He had a pretty huge lead but sadly he is a pretty slow writer. He gave us an insight into his writing routine, revealing that in the morning, he sits down and re-reads what he had written the day before in order to build up a little momentum.

Stay tuned for more updates on Winds of Winter!

  1. It’s GRRM’s story to tell and our privilege to wait for it…anyone unwilling to wait is free to write their own inferior fanfiction or watch the travesty on HBO…
