Rumors also have it that Charlize Theron might be playing the role of the villain in the upcoming movie. Her portrayal of the character of Furiousa in Mad Max Fury Road has been greatly appreciated by both fans and critics.
The rumor however is still at an unconfirmed stage. If indeed the filmmakers add a new female villain to the film, fans can expect that there will be some major changes in the plots and storyline of the movie. It will most likely feature a completely fresh plot and angle.
Some previous reports stated that the filmmakers wanted to shoot in Cuba too. Apparently, Universal Studios is currently trying to obtain permissions form both the governments of USA and Cuba to make this happen.
Fast and Furious 8 will be directed by F. Gary Gray and its screenwriter will be Chris Morgan. As for the cast of the film, the movie will feature Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriguez among others. It has also been confirmed that Netflix original, Orange is the New Black famed Ruby Rose will also star in the film.
The film is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 14, 1017.
