Moreover, it was further confirmed by Marchionne that the fourth generation Jeep Wrangler along with the pickup truck will be assembled in the same Toledo, Ohio plant. Ever since summer of last year, the Wrangler pick-up has been in the rumor mill.
However, Manley earlier confirmed that the truck will take the Wrangler platform. Manley told the news outlet that he and Sergio have been working very closely on the Jeep product portfolio and both of them agreed that they would love to see a potential Wrangler pickup. According to Manley, they have a historical place in their lineup for it.
Indiana Autos Blog noted that the upcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup will be more of a lifestyle vehicle instead of a conventional utility pickup truck. When the company does their 2016 earnings call, more details will be revealed on the upcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup.
Meanwhile, the next generation Jeep Wrangler already has a design and has already been engineered. All they need right now is a go signal for production.
According to Marchionne, it is the best thing that has ever been made by the company. Meanwhile, the new compact SUV is also in the making and furthermore, it will be introduced in the New York International Auto Show later on coming March.
