Samsung has included the Always On feature in the Galaxy S7 Edge which actually works towards reducing battery usage. This feature ensures that even when the screen is not active, notifications are showed in plain black and white texts.
Normally people are used to checking their phones numerous times during the course of a day for various notifications which results in reduction of battery life. The Always On feature eradicates this aspect by showing notifications in black and white texts and thus helps in saving battery. The battery supports both wireless charging and fast charging.
In the connectivity department, the device features- Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS and also NFC. The NFC feature will enable users to take advantage of Android Pay and Samsung Pay. A micro USB 2.0 port is also featured on the device.
It comes with a number of sensors which include- fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro meter, compass, barometer, SpO2 and heart rate scanner.
It runs on the latest OS from Google- Android 6.0 Marshmallow combined with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface. The Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a steep price tag of $780.
